  Dear Apache Junction PD, (Communications) I called in a suspicious person with a flashlight in a house over my fence. I know how irritating it is to a dispatcher to not have an exact address for responders to go to, please try to not get too snippy with callers calling in suspicious activity as it may help your officers to catch a criminal in the act. Although, I REALLY understand how tired dispatchers can be, having been one for several years in an inner city jurisdiction, and I know how irritating it is when callers do not have all of the information that you need. However, please be willing to get landmarks, cross streets and even if someone counts the number of houses or buildings in a certain directional (N,S,E,W) orientation for your officers to check out, please accept it. If it had been my house I would certainly want someone to check it out even if the caller did not have all of the exact information. With that said, I am a bit shocked that you did not ask my name, get my mobile phone number, or my unit number in case the officer needed more information that I may have not been able to provide during the time of the call. I am even more shocked that, in light of all of the aggression towards police officers in this country right now, that absolutely NO officer safety questions were asked. Even if I didn't know the information, I do believe that those life preserving questions should be asked, especially since there have been numerous loud violent domestic violence disputes that I have seen at that address, but now the officer won't know what he or she is getting into because the dispatcher could not bother to ask those questions. I certainly hope that officer is safe tonight and I hope that perhaps this review reaches the correct people to perhaps ensure that if protocol was not followed in this instance, that it is from here on out and if that is not protocol, then perhaps a revision should be considered. Please protect your officers. Their lives are precious too.

  Recently my husband had an accident involving and accidental discharge of his gun. The first officers who responded were wonderful, not mean, and did not treat my husband as if he was some criminal for this. They were polite, and the officers were very understanding of the situation that happened.

  The following are the nicest things I can come up with: rude, unprofessional, condescending, untruthful, mean-spirited, overstep their authority, ignorant of the US constitution and the rights of individuals. I mean, I guess what do you expect from Apache Junction to begin with? Actually I take that back, there's no excuse for such a laughable display of incompetence and over-the-top 'I'm a big tough guy because I wear a badge' type attitude. They are the personification of stereotypical cops people across the country are sick and tired of.
